There is no cure for greed just as there is no ‘cure’ for the survival instinct. In this case like you say it is about fear and this fear might be somewhat lessened through government regulation of business. I don’t think that the economic collapse and unsustainable costs of ‘health’ care, etc. are due to the faultiness of capitalism but rather because thievery has been sold as capitalism. Capitalism is about solid long-term financial stability and security and recent events show that what we have now is the opposite and we therefore need government regulation of business, including a massive introduction of clean energy production/collection. To get that you have to regulate government and discontinue the legally corrupt electoral system in which wealthy politicians/business reps buy and sell seats, elections, etc. After that’s done, you might actually be able to call it a democratic system which in turn may motivate people to pay attention, get educated, get involved and be heard.
